New Zealand wine tasting experience.

Includes: Wine tasting at three well known NZ wineries, picnic lunch, transport, guide, Muriwai Black Sand Beach, Gannet colony, fabulous west coast beach views.

We take you out to Auckland’s West Coast, its your chance to experience three highly recognised wineries in one day & taste some of their top award winning wines made from grapes grown in Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay & Martinborough in the North Island plus Otago & Marlborough.

The west coast region of Henderson, Kumeu and Huapai mainly has shallow clay soils over harder silt-clay sub soils or sandy loams. Some vineyards have been in commercial production here for 70 years and are self-sufficient in grape supplies.

Discover NZ’s internationally acclaimed, cool climate' Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc with its zingy, fresh, fruit led flavours. Select from other white wines such as Chardonnay, Dry Riesling, Pinot Gris, Viogner & Gewürztraminer and reds including Merlot, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Lunch is a picnic at the beautiful rugged Muriwai Black Sand Beach. Walk to the Gannet colony (birds nesting July to April) & admire the spectacular views along our magnificent west coast.

There is no public transport to this beach, so hope on this tour.

Piha is probably New Zealand's best-known beach, and it has a reputation for awesome surf. It was the birthplace of New Zealand board riding in 1956 and has been the scene of both New Zealand national and international surfing championship competitions.

This black ironsand beach is notorious for its rips and currents, and so it is certainly recommended novices stay between the red and yellow flags and within their limits. Two Surf Lifesaving Clubs provide surf patrols in summer.
