Kiwiana is owned and operated by local New Zealanders Dave Ovenden and Catherine Kirk who are well travelled and whom have hosted international travellers from all over the world for the past 15 years. All of our tours are guided by people who can help you find what you are looking for and understand the needs of the local and international traveller. They are on hand to provide sightseeing and commentary on things of interest, and generally help you find amazing things on and off the beaten track. You are free to use them as much or as little as you like.

A: Our tours normally stay in shared dorms in selected backpacker hostels.

A: Yes, on request (extra charges apply).

A: They range from eight to twenty most tours.
Q: How can I pay for the tours?
A: We accept credit cards and cash or bank transfers.
Q: Some friends and I would like to make a tour but on a different date than scheduled. Is that possible?
A: Absolutely! We can arrange tours for groups of two or more at a price that suits your budget. Send us details e.g. dates, how many, type of tour etc and we’ll get back to you with a quote.
